How much oil

I know buy the f'n manual, have one on order. Just got bike. I changed all the fluids in my new to me 02 Electra Glide to day. I'm use to my Low rider 3 Qts and check on side stand. How much motor oil does my Electra Glide hold 4 Qts ? Do you check on sidestand or upright?

4 to 4-1/2 quarts, check cold on the 'jiffy stand'.

I would start with 3.5 qts. with new filter.Ride it till hot,then check again on the jiffy.Add oil as needed.
Should not take more than four.

4 qts, sometimes if you put in more then 3.5 qts, oil blows out the air filter. Check on jiffy stand.

I add 3 qts then check after it's hot and go from there. Usually I never have to add more. I read an article about a year ago from HD that if you add too much it will not drain out of the cam chest cavity. My manual says to add 3.5 qts.
