I've got a buddy that bought one, and he was extremely disappointed with the quality. Lid broke in South Dakota, cracked clear through and got soaked inside where he mounted the rack. Hinges were garbage, just plastic. Flimsy setup on his, and the backrest was cheaper than cheap. His looked pretty bad with the duct tape on it to keep it together. I was considering one when he originally got his, I'm lucky he got his first and I was able to see it. Hope your experience turns out better than his.
Yup it is cheap, but hey for 200 bucks wadyawant?? I bought some paint to match my black cherry and I am going to paint her up and mount it on the tour pack rack that I bought. The trunk comes with a rack that will mount right on a Harley ElectraGlide but it is a bolt on ugly black painted thing. The tour pack dock and rack are much nicer and I will be able to take it off. I don't care if it is kinda cheesy, it is not going to be a permanent thing, just for trips and when my wife rides with me.
Well here it is all assembled and painted. It is kinda cheap and light weight but it should work ok. I did a crappy job painting it also, I am no paint guy, that is for sure. The really weird thing is they did not give any instructions at all! Just a bunch of parts and I guess you are just supposed to figure it out! I guess I am lucky cause I am kinda handy.
I have one on my 09 FLHT I bought from a Forum member and the few times a year I use it works great. Took it on a 6 hour ride in a german down pour and nothing was wet inside. Happy with the purchase.
I just recently bought one of these. Here are some pics. I used the aerosol cans from Colorite which produced a better than expected finish. The trunk came in black which would have been fine but my bike isn't black. There are multiple people who sell this on Ebay and everyone has a different package. This one came with 2 cables that help support the trunk while open. Some vendors only supply 1 cable. It also came with a liner/nylon bag. All for $114 shipped. I did buy a (used) detachable tour-pac rack to mount it to. I don't feel that the top can handle much weight on the luggage rack so I probably won't use it. It would be nice for storing a duffle bag but I don't want the same outcome as the friend of "bigskyhd". It is not near the quality of the HD model but for the 2 times a year I plan to use it I am very pleased. I relaced the weatherstripping because it rattled way to much. The hinges are not made to be slammed around as pointed out earlier but they should last as long as you are careful.......if not I will probably buy another. One of the pics, I threw some stuff in so everyone could see how much it holds. There is one full face helmet and 2 half helmets in there.

If there is a problem with these being flimsy, then I would be concerned with my wife leaning back on the thing as well. One of the reasons I have chosen to stick with the backrest, luggage rack and a bag for now. I am still up in the air about buying a tour pack at all. Dont want to mess up the looks of my Street Glide.

http://www.powerproductsparts.com/ I'm seriously looking at this one as I haven't heard anything bad about it. Actually, haven't heard much one way or the other, just know that it looks like a better TP; and it must be since it costs more
