Hey ya'll, anybody ever heard of Ridebikegear trunks? I just ordered one that is 22and 1/2 by 17 by 12 with a lid rack and a back rest for 200 bucks! I got it in primer so I can paint it to match my Electra Glide Standard. I bought and installed a docking port and bought the tourpack rack to mount it to. I usually ride solo with a StreetGlide seat but when my wife goes with me I will put on the big ole puffy butt seat and the trunk for her to lean on and put her junk in. You know fellers, the purse and hat to cover up her helmet head, that kinda stuff! ;-) I will post some pics when it is all painted up and on the bike. This might be an inexpensive way to have a temporary trunk for trips.. I also will mount it farther back than the standard tour pack so her belly doesn't push me up on the tank.
Just looked at them on line. Dead ringer for a HD TP for 1/10 the price. I wonder how they get away with that. Would definitely be interested if they are reasonably well made.

How long is the shipping on this TP? I am definitely interested in knowning the quality of the box. This may be in my near future if the quality is above decent
i'm also curious as to the quality of the tour pack. harley quality seems to be great, but at a very big price too. this would be an affordable alternative to the harley tour pack. what's it made of, abs or fiberglass? it does look like a lot of bang for the buck as long as the quality and durability is good.
Both sites state the trunk is to be mounted on an 8x8 rack. Anybody know what rack is best to use? Some replies said several people had these. How did you mount them? I want it to be quick release from my 4point mounting system on my 2011 road king (police bike modified to remove cop plate from rear and added 4point mounting hard wear).
Going to subscribe to see what it looks like, I agree HD is way over priced, but the quality is good. I already have one but have a few friends looking who don't want to seperate with over $1k for something they only want to use as temp luggage.

It's ABS and very similar in construction to the HD Road King tour paks; i.e. tilts forward and flexes, but w/o the HD RK covering. Holds about 80% or so of an HD King tour pak. I have both the Mutazu (5 years) and '08 Ultra tour pak (replaced an older one I had; so 4 years cumulative) mounted on solo and two-up detachable racks, respectively.

Use HD's detachable tour pak rack, but install spacers (I used automotive hard rubber bushings sandwiched between stainless washers) between the TP bottom and the rack to provide clearance for opening the police saddlebags.
Use "Mutazu" and/or "VIP" (without the quotation marks) in the search function and you'll find plenty of threads and pictures.
