Default Upgraded Audio

Let me start by saying that I am a Harley enthusiast and not an employee of Harley or J&M. I recently was doing a lot of research for upgraded speakers and an amp for my '11 FLHTK. I had on a previous bike the Hawg Wire. After much research I opted for the J&M Rokker. 500 watt amp, front 7.25" and rear 5.25" speakers. Oh my God!!!! I have never heard anything like it. Dr. V-Twin from California gave me a sweet deal and the install was completed today. The sound is incredible and even at full volume no distortion. The install was pretty easy if you have any mechanical ability. I will be telling everyone about this product. Well worth the money.

anything we like to upgrade in our ride, comes with a price ,some people here, cry about speakers, after they spend a few hundred dollars . they thinking it's gonna be a concert hall sounds.and then they will say wtf this speakers are junks. just like they bought a moped, and they want to it, to ride and perform like Electra glide.
I'm glad your happy

I installed the J&M 250w Rokker amp today...waiting on the Rokker Speakers to get here. Amp install was a piece of cake on the Roadglide.

Sweet. I was wondering if just changing the speakers would be good enough for me.

Just changing the speakers is an upgrade. With the amp it is unbelieveable though!

Suggestion: Edit your original post and list what you installed: Rokker 7.25" speakers; 250W or 500W amp; rear speakers?

If you installed the 500W amp, what did you use to cut-off the 1/2" of material from the speedo and tach plastic cups that secure the speedo and tach to the inner fairing? And what purpose is served by using a rotary cut-off tool to remove the metal tabs on the vertical fairing brackets? Both operations are included in the instructions and I'm interested in learning how you did it.

I am glad your happy with your upgrade thats what its all about. When I had the J&M speakers and amp it sounded like someone was singing though a tin can I hated it. This winter I did the biketronics amp and hertz and man I love it.

Sorry.............not sure how to update. I installed the J&M Rokker 500 watt amp with the front 7.25" and the rear 5.25"

To cut off the plastic cups I used a angle grinder. It would take a little longer but a Dremel would work also or you could use a hand saw. It took less than a minute with the angle grinder. There is only one metal tab that has to be removed and that is on the right side. If it isn't removed you can't slide the amp all the way in. The only problem that I ran into was with trying to remount the PTT box under the radio. I had to spin it sideways and zip tie it back in. Well worth the trouble for the sound. It took me about 4 hours to do the install. If I was to do another I would think I could do it in about 2 hours. Any other questions let me know.
