Hi folks...I have an 07 CUSE on order. Has anyone been able to make the tour pac quick detach? My dealer says it can't be done because of the amp and wiring. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks JD
My Dealer told me allmost the same thing he said that when you disconect the wires to the speakers it would make the engine light stay on ,Most guys here told me that it can be done..I'm gonna give it a try after I get it . 3 more weeks till it's here

IF I had a CVO Ultra with all of the EXTRA rear electronics, I'd be leaving the Tour-pak right where it belongs. Gotta be a real tricky job, IF it can be done...good luck!
It gets worse...try 41k, I'm Canaidian. lol
I just want to have the ability to strip it down for the local rides. My wife has a Softail Deluxe ,so a passenger comfort need is out. I also pull a trailer on big trips, so cargo need is also out. So now your saying "why did you by a decker?" I have a Road King and love it....time for some tunes on trips and some extra ponies under the pants. With the King and a CUSE, I think I have it all covered. JD
I have an 07 ultra (not se) and the dealer put together a package for me to do this -- it was going to take about 500us for the parts and labor. I was not going with the small cb antenna but would just not us the cb if the touring pack was off. The radio antenna gets mounted in side fairing and the all of the other wires speakers and such go into a quick release harness - done deal (BTW they have a small cb antenna that mounts beside the side bags if you go that route. ) I did was going to do this when I had my first service but decided not to because either my wife of little girl was with me every other day and could not see myself taking it off much.
