Default '07 FLTR Accy switch

I want another power outlet in my fairing. Does the accy switch go to a plug somewhere like my old FLHR (under the seat) or are there some wires tucked away somewhere else? I need my cig lighter, I smoke. Also running another outlet off my cig lighter into the right glove box (hidden inside) for my XM Roadie, so I don't want to load that circuit any more. I need one more outlet for my GPS and I was hoping to find power inside the fairing before I put the outer back on. Would be nice to use the Accy switch, but it's not mandatory.

Thats what I have been trying to figure out. I have a 2011 RGU and I know the Acc. Switch goes to under the seat, but does it go thru the faring anywhere in route to the plug. I would like to splice my lights into it behind the fairing instead of running wiring all the way to the plug under the seat..... Does anyone know if it does go behind the fairing anywhere?

You should have an electrical connector under the seat (not positive on the road glide) that is controled by the acc switch. As far as needing the switch function, it shuts down automatically when the bikes power is cut anyway.
I used an inline fuse to the pos post on the battery and a ground to the frame, to hook up a secondary cig lighter style outlet in my tourpack.
The reason I did that was to be able to charge a phone in a locked tourpack when I stepped away. Power is always on.

I finally got my Kuryakyn lights installed yesterday. I found the Acc. switch with under the speedo in the harness and spliced it there. Its an all orange wire on the 12 pin connector.

Easiest tie-in inside the fairing is the extra leads that hang of your headlight wiring.

Ended up running this one hot to the battery. Used the fuse in the battery tender lead. Now I have a always hot source.

I just spent some time out in the garage looking for a place to connect to the acc switch. Looked through the manual, but wasn't sure if making the connection under the speedo/tach was the way to go. Thanks for the input, now I can finish the install of my heat demons...
