I've got an 08 Ultra. Just discovered that the right speaker in a helmet on either the front or back plug as stopped working. It is a stock Harley system with stock Harley helmet and speaker setup. It's not the a helmet or plug because it is the same on my helmet and the wife's and either plug or wire. It is all volume to the right we are missing. Radio or intercom, I assume CB as well.
I'm thinking something got unplugged or loose. Haven't done any recent maintenance except remove the seat and add a charger plug to the battery. A while back I did replace the handle bars so I've been in the bat wing but that was a while ago.
Anyone have any idea where I should look first. It's got to be a plug. Everything else works fine. It all works fine to the external speakers BTW.
did not mention if you used to use them or just got them but if they are for a older bike they will do that , I have a set from my 96 ultra and they work on my 07 but only the left speaker , was told by dealer they won't work from the older bike , I think 98 was the split year , just a thought
if u accidently hit the balance all the way left?it will stay that way on cb or intercom but not radio or vise versa.it may even stay that way on headset but not speakers.
Yes I should have been clear. The combination helmet, cord and bike did work. Bought them all new in 08.
I thought of balance all the way to left but couldn't find a balance option in the radio, intercom, CB or anywhere or even in the instructions. Did I miss it? And if so where is the setup. That has got to be it.
Just getting back to this. I could not find a left/right balance anywhere in the audio. I don't think there is one.
Anyone have any other ideas why the right side audio would be dead on both my helmets using either cord or plug? Where is the most logical place to look? All audio is fine except the helmet and it is all audio in the helmet that's missing.

It did work at one time now it doesn't.
Sounds like it is in the connector on the bike....
Can you plug the helmet into another system to eliminate that side of the equation?
There is a balance control in the radio. Push the audio switch on the left control straght in and it will cycle through Bass, Treble, Balance, Fade, Display. When you get to each of those modes you can adjust it by pushing up or down on the audio switch.

Thanks
There is no left to right balance but only front to rear.
Try listening without putting the helmet on your head who knows may be one ear is going bad or may be head set is not set identical places (Center) on both sides.
