Ok, so first let me say that I am worse than a little kid when it comes to new toys...as most of us are. I am taking the Mrs. to the local dealers open house this coming weekend so we can test ride a RGU. I'm not looking to buy one, I just want to see if she likes the Tour Pak before I go drop a good amount of coin on one. I'm afraid that i will end up buying one if she likes the ride. I tend to flip my bikes before I pay them off so I never end up building equity in it...I need strength this weekend because I have absolutely no self control...and no, I'm not one of those that can afford two bikes
my RG just turned 2yrs old -- this is the longest i have ever had a bike -- get the tour pak and get the hell out there you have the itch it will pass

I tend to change bikes often, but I buy used and pay cash. This way I don't take the initial depreciation hit, and I avoid incidental costs for freight, prep, etc.
Don't ride it.....you WILL like it! The tour pack is a good idea and can be added to your current ride for a lot less than a new bike. But.....don't listen to me....I have only had my new RGU for a couple of weeks.
I had a tourpak that I used on 2 bikes . When i got my newest she said sell it ,It pushed her to far forward and she was uncomfortable. It sat on a shelf more than i used it. Save $400 or so get a rack and bag ,harley has one that holds same as king tour pak.You already have the new platform.

The new tour pak is for her. She has MS and it may help her comfort level on the bike...hopefully. That is why we are gonna test ride one that has it. I am just hoping that I don't break and buy a whole new bike
WOW dude! Over 14000 posts in 34 months? Averaging 411 post per month for 34 months? How do you find time to ride? I'm not being critical at all...I was just shocked when I read the post count. Thats impressive. Sorry for the change of subject but...WOW!
