Default maybe this will help

2010 RG depreciated 4-6 grand when you took possesion of her one year or so later you do the same thing for the 2011 that is a lot of money for a tour pack and 5% more engine keep it buy the tour pac enjoy her for a couple more years. but if you feel froggy leap its your 8 to 10 k not mine lol

Hell if you like it and it wont totally screw you money wise get it. If you dont waste the money on a bike it will just be wasted somewhere else.

I,m looking forward to hear if you manage to have the test ride and not buy the RGU as it sounds like everyone else ends up buying one after the test ride , over here in the UK my dealer doesnt have a demo one but has sold both CVO RGU that he has managed to get hold of.

I got the detachable tour pack for my last bike. The wife liked it so much I never took it off.
So with the new bike I didn't bother getting the detacahable kit. The Tour Pack stays on and the wife is happy, and as you all know " Happy Wife Happy Life "
Good Luck saying no to the RGU. I have a feeling you just might end up with a new bike.

You'll come out better if you get the 107 (fuel moto), and detachable tour pack, upgrade your stereo. That way you will have more power, the ability to look cool when not riding the wife, still have the bike you know, better looking set of gauges. Also buy the 2011 FLTRU seat, under $200, and only 5 minutes to change when you put the tour pack on.

Let us know how you like the new bike!

(I tried much the same thing you're trying. Rode in on our 2006 Road King, rode out on a 2011 EGC.)

BEST advice in this thread. I am sorry also. I have friends and have watched friends lives end with the horriffic disease. Do what makes her comfortable. Prayers sent!
