Do whatever it takes to make your wife comfortable as that is worth more then the money spent. Lost my brother-in-law to MS. He was a great guy. If your wife likes riding with you then I cannot think of a better way to spend time together.
Now what color RGU did you get

OK...demo ride is over and verdict is in. I am very happy with my bike and was not overly crazy about the 2011 RGU. However the Mrs. Was very impressed with the suspension, tour pak, seat, and passenger floorboards. Looks like its time to start shopping for the extras.

Well now you know what you want. I think you are going to be saving a lot of money keeping your current bike and adding the things you want to make it perfect for you and the wife.
Post some pics of the upgrades when you get done.
