Does anyone have any experience with the Stebel Magnum Harley Replacement Horn--Electromagnetic? I found it online at BikerHiway.com. It sells for $17.95 and reportedly puts out 136 decibels. This horn fits inside the stock Harley "cowbell" horn as a true plug and play replacement. Here's a link to a picture.
Yeah for 20 bucks. Check Oriellys or Auto zone. I recall picking up a "free way blaster" horn for the wife's Sportster a couple years ago. About the same thing don't know if it would be a "direct" replacement in the cowbell though. I do remember it was loud and only about 20 bucks.
I put the same horn on an '03 Dyna after the stock horn failed. It is definitely louder - in fact I think it is the loudest magnetic horn made. It was still working on that Dyna when the friend that I sold it to sold it a couple of weeks ago.
I bought the automotive version and it came with two horns, one high, one low like cars have. I think it was $20 for the set.
Why does Harley have a loud horn as an accessory? Shouldn't that be included as a safety feature? How much more money does it take to build a horn 3db louder? Don't they want ALL their riders to be as safe as possible? It's so the people that care spend more money, as anything else!
