I bought it a month ago and it really wasn't what my wife or I wanted but the price was too tempting.
The more I looked at the motorcycle the more I knew changes had to be made, even the tires didn't match!?
I had a few parts in the garage from previous motorcycles and was able to add a quick release kit for the tourbox, a Badlander seat, a 4" smoked windshield, lowers off of our 2003 Ultra and a matching set of dealer take off wheels and tires.
Since I took these pics I also lowered it a couple of inches to round out the look I was going for.
It was definitely a budget project that I could afford and still be pleased with the results.
The thing I like the most is that if I want to put some serious miles on the motorcycle, I can change everything back over within 20 minutes.
Looks great! I bought a '03 Classic a few months ago and started the mods - detachable tour pak, hidden antenna, 8" windshield, chrome front end and Monster Rounds are in transit. I like that seat. That is on the list too, but may have to wait - this is getting expensive!
..oh, an 04?..wait..you should have got an 07 for the 96inch 6 speed..oh wait..make that an 09 for the better frame...oh wait...should see what's coming in July!...blah blah blah....welcome to the Forums...but seriously...nice bike! like your changes so far...
