Default Contemplating Road Trip

Thinking about me and buddy of mine leaving Tampa, FL. Headed to FM USA in Wisconsin to get the FM 107" Upgrade, any challenges besides the miles? Would there be an issue riding the build back 1400 miles?

With the upgraded motor you would have to do your break in period all over. That means staying off the highways and high speeds for 500 miles.

+1 on the break-in period. Schedule and extra day or two in Wi to meet the break-in requirements and test everything out before heading home.

Good Luck and Good Riding on your trip. Take your time 1st 500 on the return and break it in right.

Getting ready to ride 2 up on the RK from Central Florida to Kentucky next month. Will be 1st long trip for the OL. Swapping out seats for her comfort for the trip.

Ahhhh damn, color me envious !!! I'm wanting to make that trip for the
same reason, but my work schedule is too busy and my wallet is too empty !!

I'd want to take 2 weeks and sight-see along the way....northern route
over and southern route back, with a couple days riding the area there
for the 500 mile break in process.

The problem with highway riding is you are supposed to vary your speeds and RPM's.

Call Jamie, I pretty sure he can break it in on the Dyno. I have 900 miles on mine and have no problems at all. Either way you will be up and down on the throttle . You will no be disappointed. Plan a nice route home, change the oil and filter after the first 500 miles(my opinion), and have fun. Make sure you have an appointment!
P.S. I spent a lot of time at Mac Dill A.F.B. with the 56th A.G.S./F-16.

Cool, yeah I lived in Milwaukee for 15 years. 32 now, I tell everyone... a Milwaukee boy without a Harley is a Jap without a Honda. Lol.. Totally looking forward to it.
