Check these guys out if you want a serious pair that will do what you want. And can wear all day. I have a set of these and they are worth every penny. PM with any questions. http://www.bigearinc.com/Products/BE-1C.aspx
This is what I use. Great customer service and very helpful. They are not cheap but you only have two ears.
+1 on Big Ear. I purchased them a few years ago at a Cycle show. I believe I paid $45 and they inject a mold into each ear so they are a custom fit. They really drown out the sound of both the wind and exhaust, yet still let the frequency of your radio come through. They are very comfortable and have held up very well.
I also have a pair of S-plugs from Lee Parks Designs. They are equally as comfortable, but have a small pass-thur hole that make it easier to hear conversations yet still muffles the wind and exhaust fairly well.
I have custom ear molds fitted by an Audiologist. They're excellent, wish I'd worn them all my life. Only $60. I lube them with over the counter ear drops before putting them in, really creates a nice seal. A little lubrication greatly improves the experience. You may need a tissue after the ride. This is not sounding quite right.
I use SureFire Sonic Defenders EP4 $13 - $20, depending on where you get them. I get mine off e-Bay and use them for everything, shooting, riding, lawn mowing, trimming, tree cutting - very comfortable and I like that I can pick how much noise I want to block out.
