How do you run "just" the halo ring and not the headlight? Or is that part of the "kit".?.
Mine's not on a tourer but here's what it looks like with the H-D OEM Dual Halogen headlamp. You can run it with any stock headlamp. I have mine wired independently to a flip switch so I can turn it on and off whenever I want.
I've never seen a fairing on a vrod before and i must say that looks amazing. Great looking bike.
Thanks! I was a little nervous about getting flamed. I hope I get the same reception when I go the full bagger route with it. If it turns out like I envision it, it should be pretty good looking.
I used to have a VROD before I sold it to get my Ultra (needed the all day comfort for the rides I do). I must say that faring is pretty cool looking!
Thanks. If I wasn't $6-$7K deep in mods on the NRS I would be all over either an Ultra or a Street Glide. I'll be starting a bagger conversion project on it when I get home from A-Stan. I've got a complete SG fairing setup (inner and outer with mirrors) plus headlight bucket, brackets, speakers, etc.. After riding with this Bob Dron fairing I decided I really liked the idea of better wind protection, and being able to listen to music. I plan on starting a build thread once I get the project rolling. I just hope the true touring crowd doesn't flame me.

The light I have is an H-D OEM dual halogen headlamp for a touring bike. I modded the "y" harness to accept dual H11 bulbs instead of the standard H8 and H11 setup. I had to massage the H8 bulb opening on the back of the headlamp to get it to accept the second H11 bulb, but it was very minimal. It was more a convenience thing (so I could buy a 2 pack of bulbs instead of individual bulbs). The night time visibility is great and the Halo trim ring is plenty visible at night even with the high beam on.
