I am purchasing a new Street Glide in a couple of weeks. I work overseas and am only home every 6 months for a few week vacation (will return to states full time in Jan). I got a quote on a 2013 SG (stock) for $21255 turn key out the door. I cannot pick up the 2013 until January because of the available delivery date. I got a quote from a local dealer for $22500 out the door on a 2012 (new) with dealer installed Fullsac ceramic header, RC Components Exhaust (chrome)' Race Tuner, and SE Heavy Breather and includes full Dyno tune at the 1000 mile service. I can pick this up and ride for 3 weeks on my vacation in August. Both bikes have ABS, Security, and cruise. What would you do if you had this choice to make? Also would like your thoughts on the prices. I did make one hard decision and that was to keep my 08 Fatbob instead of trading. Your input is appreciated.
Getting the 2012 keeps me from having to deal with adding the Stage 1 later and can hit the road happy. Initial salesman offered me 9k for my 08 Fatbob trade with 5200 miles saying I would never ride it once the SG was in the garage. Fatbob is in perfect condition with too much $$$ in accessories to part with for 9k IMO. I am thinking they can still go lower and throw in a QR back rest. Started at $25400 to $23400 to $22500. I have the riding fever. Trying not to let the fever make me make a hasty decision.
Friend of mine just bought a 2012 Street Glide. Got Power Duals, with 4" Rinehart slip ons, SE 254 cams, clutch spring, and SE Tuner. Out the door for 21,500$$ .
@Gliden--They are including a full Dyno tune at the 1000 mile service. I am considering the new SE Stage 4 (pn-92500011) from HD that claims 103hp and 110tq to be done at the 1000 service and then the Dyno. Still researching to see if others have any feedback from the Stage 4 kit.
i would go the 12 all the mods and the dyno time would cost more than the extra you will be paying. also they did not change much if anything on the 13,if i remember correctly i don't think they are offering any different collors for the 13's eccept cvo stuff,i just bought a 12 and got to look at the 2013 color chart, they have a couple of color changes for other models
