Default Jackpot Quiet Baffle Users ?

I have some Jackpot 3.5" straight cuts installed on my bike and am very happy with them. Not too loud and nice deep rumble. That said, I was pondering something a bit quieter for those couple weeks a year when I make longer trips with a lot of highway/interstate droning and uncertainty of noise ordinances out of state. I pondered using my stock slip-ons for this but thinking they're too restrictive with my build. Which leads me to FM quiet baffles. Are they (2) baffles and a insert(s) or insert(s) only? Thinking maybe the happy medium between Jackspots/stock might be ok. Thoughts/input appreciated.. Thanks

It's one baffle (the right) and an insert. On flat roads it's nice and quiet, but if you are in the mountains and on the throttle they can still be pretty darn loud. I don't run the insert because I definitely notice the power drop and honestly I don't think the pipes sound good with the insert in. Cruising on flat land the pipes are nice and quiet. I rode 700 miles Thursday on flat land, no ear ringing at all. Friday I rode 550 miles in the mountains and my ears are still ringing today. I was real happy with the Jacpots until I installed the SE255 cams and then they got loud. The quiet baffle helped but not as much as I would have liked.

Ear plugs are always a cheap option for me as a rider but won't have a bearing on noise ordinance type issues. I always like to get opinions from those who use the items. I also noticed in increase in volume from stage 1 96" > 103"/54H/head work. Still a nice tone but not stupid loud (to me)....

If you have dresser duals, there are two baffles and two inserts. The inserts and baffles will take the sound to about OEM. With just the baffles, the sound is between factory and jackpot regular baffles. Got this info from Keith at FM yesterday. One baffle if '10-up OEM headers. $89.95 ea plus shipping. Mine are 4" slash cut so may be different than yours.

I have the 3.5" Jackpot straight cut slip-ons for my stock 2009 FLHT exhaust.

I do run the silent baffle with the insert in all the time and it does rob some power. My bike is stock except for jackpots with silent baffle, air cleaner and pcv. To me the jackpots were just loud without the silent baffle. Overall, I have been happy with the setup because it still runs better and is cooler than stock and I can hear the tunes just fine.

I have a brand new Tunable Jackpot quiet baffle 3.5" with pre-wrapped heat shield from Jackpot that I've bought from FM, and I've never used it. I have listed for sale here.

I have the 3.5 Dyno tuned Jackpots with whatever baffle they normally come with and I think they are pretty darn perfect. They are mellow enough on long rides to not wear on you and yet they have the Harley sound. Not obnoxious. The quiet baffle must sound more stock?
