I purchased the bullet turn signal bar (2098) and the RTB controller(4859). Pictured Below:
The turn signal bar has regular single circuit bulbs in it, The instructions aren't clear if I need to use the load equalizer that was supplied in the RTB kit.
They function fine with out it hooked up until I have higher RPM, then they flash very fast. I installed the load equalizer, and a after a quick test in the garage It seems to be working fine, but am curious why one is needed if I am not running LED lights.
I have the same controller. I think the instructions say you need the load equalizer to compensate for the alrm system???? Maybe???
Regardless. I have been running the setup for over 6 years and almost 40K miles. I have replaced exactly ONE bulb (front turn signal). In other words, my tail light and rear turn signals are original.
The turn signal bulbs are, and remain single filament. Leave them as is. The controller sends low voltage to them to act as running lights.
