Default Front brake switch ?

On my 07 Road King the front brake switch is very sensitive and has a tendency to stay on..can we stretch a spring or ?

My 06 Road King brake switch had the same problem. I loosened up the throttle housing and brake lever bracket. After adjusting the two assemblies, the brake light would finally go off. I think I had to pull apart the two assemblies so there was more room for the brake lever to release the tension on the brake switch. Then I tightened everything back up. Works great now. Hope this helps.

Being "sensitive" might be a sign that the button and the brake lever aren't correctly aligned. It sounds like the button isn't using it's full in/out travel.

If the light stays on, you need to move the lever and the switch closer, as the circuit is closed when the lever engages the switch. If you can't adjust the lever and/or the switch enough, you can always add a shim to the backside of the lever.

Thank you for the quick reply s..I had just installed a new master cylinder since the old one was all trashed from leaking fluid. So I made a shim from a piece of a coffee can lid and it will probably out last the rest of the bike..Must have been giving me trouble all along.. six months ago I had replaced the pigtail to the rear light/brake light since it had melted..
