I just bought a new trailer 3 weeks ago from americasbesttrailer. I got the Escape XL...5 footer. I recently sold my teardrop with about 9cu ft of space, and now 20 cu. ft.

We've got over 80K on our Aluma. Pulls great! Best thing about touring with a trailer is that you can take what you want along and you can pack in 1/4 the time. Open the lid and throw it in.

I picked this up last summer. It holds everything that I would normally put in my tourpak and saddlebag liners. I don't carry anything on my scoot except my wife. It tracks like a dream.

Good looking trailer... I have been kicking the idea around about building something like what you did. I was wondering how ya sealed the lid?

like this

ordered some press on gasket material from McMaster Carr. I cut a second 55 gallon drum to make the lid....its about 4 inches bigger all the way around than the opening in the trailer itself. We rode in a steady, heavy down pour from Mitchell SD to Rapid City SD and not a single drop of water made it in the trailer!

Torsion type. They don't squeek like leaf springs.

yep i used torsion on mine. The lightest I could find. My next trailer build will be a single wheel of some sort. Thinking of making it look like the rear section of an ultra. Fender, bags and tourpack.
