Question MCC seat mod help needed

I know there are a lot of riders that have had MCC mod your seat, but this is mainly for bigger riders. Here is my break down: I'm 6'2" and 265 lbs, I have a 2010 RK and the seating position just isn't working. I feel like it sits too high and I'm leaning forward, like I have to keep myself pushed backward all the time or I'm sitting on the tank. I think I need about 2" down and 2" back with more of a bucket shape. Any of you that are close to my size, what mod did you have done? I talked with them at MCC and they are saying to go with the Double Decker, but I don't think that is what I'm looking for. I really don't make a lot of road trips, mainly commutes. I was just looking for a lower seat position and further back, but they tell me at my weight, if they cut it down and back without putting something back in, I'll be basicly sitting on the frame and be worse off. Just needing some input from taller / heavier riders that have had MCC do a mod on their seat. Sorry this was so long. Thank

MCC knows what they are doing. Cutting away foam to lower you means that you are that much closer to hard plastic/metal. Even with a well padded bottom, you will be feeling it once the remaining foam is broken in.

Love my MCC seat and will be sending my wife's 883N saddle in this winter.

They made Hester's seat a throne. I had the double decker also. Tell them where you want to be sitting (hi/lo/fwd/back) and let them make it for you. Just give it at least 500 miles to fully break in.

I know when I talked with them, they said to 09s and up had less to cut out to lower you. Know they have top notch mods but just talked to a bud of mine this wekend. He's a big dude and he went with the HD Talboy seat and really likes it, he also put on I guess their like mini apre. Not real tall in fact he was still able to us the stock cables and he really likesthis set up.

Same height but heavier than you. I hated the stock seat on my 10 SG, bought a Mustang wide solo and that was OK. MCC modded it, narrowed the front and tailbone relief, etc. Night and Day. I highly recommend them. If you tell them what you want and be specific, they'll hook you up. I used to use a gel pad now I don't.

I'm not super large (5'11" @ 190lbs), but Allen talked me into dbl-mem foam and I couldn't be more pleased. Have you ever seen/felt memory foam??? It pretty much absorbs everything set on top of it & creates nice soft cushion. MCC's not in the business this long by chance - they're the experts so I say put your specs in the site & give it a try. They stand by qualityr work & will definitely make sure you're happy w/seat mod.

Ditto what the others are saying. They have modded three seats for me and all have been wonderful. They know what they're doing. Listen to their advice. If, after the mod is done (after a reasonable break-in period...), you think you may need something
different done, give them a call back; they will do all they can to make it right for you.....
