Exhaust Question
Choosing the "right" exhaust it totally dependant on all of your personal requirements, expectations, and bias', doesn't really matter what someone else's opinion is. Performance wise, 2:1 will allways produce more power in the street useable range. Appearance wise the 2:2 or 2:1:2 compliments the symetry of the 2 bags on a touring bike, FM claims their 2:1:2 is the best of both worlds, great performance, dual appearance, and great "sound". Sound wise, what sounds good to you. Mileage wise, the exhaust does not significantly effect it, that's all in the tune. I run a Fuel Moto OEM 2:1 replacement(no longer available), with OEM muffler, runs strong, quiet at cruise and a little noise under heavier load, avg 45mpg on a lean tune. I usually get scolded by sombody for recommending this, but try to find youself a congregation of bikes, listen to different systems and talk to the owners for feed back. Just be quick about the decision before she changes her mind.
I installed the Fuel Moto 2/1/2 head pipe,SE A/C, python slip-ons and PCV. The bike really came alive. Nice rumble on the highway, loud bark when needed.
Fuel Moto loaded the map before shipping the PCV. Everything just bolted on without issue. I completed the project in about 3 hours.
First tank of gas I got 40 mpg (highway, 1 up) which was lower than before. Bike ran great, but for me its a touring bike and I needed more mpg and range. I called Fuel Moto and they sent me a economy map. I cant tell much power difference in the original map and the economy, but the mpg increased my 7 mpg (47 mpg highway 1 up).

I recently put a Fuel Moto stage one on my 2010 Ultra, 4" Jackpot slash up mufflers, their air filter and backing plate, and a new Power Vision ECU, along with their new head pipe to get rid of the catalytic converter and couldn't be happier. The Power Vision came pre-mapped by Fuel Moto and it was all a plug and play operation in my garage. 80 hp, 96 ft pds of torque, less heat, and I even picked up a couple of mph. The mufflers are the ones I've been looking for since getting rid of my Shovel years ago, not to loud at idle or going down the road, but a nice little thump to it. But Katie bar the doon when you stand on it.
Fuel Moto has to be one of the best companies I've had the pleasure to deal with and their customer service is second to none. Price wise, they are hard to beat.

Big decision on your part, exhaust sound is personal. I'm a big fan of 2into1 Like to keep it simple. Lot of good advice on here and great sounding system's. I would suggest not to jump too quick as it is a chunk of change to get everything right. I rode behind Gotmy11SG (SteevO) from the Florida crew a couple weeks ago up hwy 28 to the Dragon. He has the full FuelMoto package with Powervision. Awesome sound and power. I believe he has their Cams as well. It's hard to beat Fuelmoto's products and support. Plus a lot of guy's like iclick will gladly give you valuable info.
To the OP,cant go wrong with Fuel Moto.
I don't know anybody who ran a quality 2 into 1 and changed back to duals, unless he was selling his bike and wanted to put the 2 into 1 on his new bike. The increase in throttle reponse and pulling power you get with a 2 into 1 makes a Bagger way more fun to ride.
Mailman the best way to decide is to listen to as many different bikes as possible. Keep in mind that a set of pipes on a 65-75 hp bike is gonna sound a lot different than the same pipes on a 100hp bike. I've had numerous exhaust systems on my two bikes and i have settled on Rinehart TDs on both. To me the low end tq gain with a 2 into 1 wasnt enough to overcome the balanced looks and sound of TDs. My 82 hp bike actually performs better with TDs than 2in1. Dont rush, you'll be sorry.
