Default New Ultra

Traded my 04 Road King Classic in for a new black Ultra and I love the comfort and the radio, but I hate the fact that it's a pain in the A$$ to keep clean. This bike is a dust and bug magnet.
I see right now that I won't be keeping it as clean as the Road King.
Also, why does Harley make it so difficult to put air in the tires with a vertical valve stem in between the brake discs ? Other than those minor things I'm loving it.

I've got the same bike and mine collects a blanket of pollen every time I ride this time of year. I'm with you on the valve stems. I usually just bend it my way to get a gauge on or put air in. It just takes a little getting used to. The wife is real good about helping keep her clean.

yup, ride most every day to work. 105 mile round trip. start out at 0300 in the morning and attract all the bugs. Park in a parking garage and its a dust magenet. However, I wouldn't trade it for anything.......except a Screaming Eagle Ultra Classic :-)

Just keep a small bottle of PigSnot or similar cleaner in the tour pac for quick touch ups.
For the rear tire you can get a valve stem extension, They sell them at camper supply stores. They will extend out at a 90 degree angle.

Enjoy the Ride!

Congratulations on your purchase, black looks great when it's clean, but it is a job to keep it that way.

The ultra is a pain to keep 100% clean compared to the RK. And black is even worse every speck of dust shows up.

I love my black ultra. It sure does attract the dust when I ride, but it is a color that I will not get tired of.
