My 07 streetglide did the same thing. replaced TPS sensor (35ish dollars) and cleaned out the IAC valve which is under the tank right near the TPS with some intake cleaner.

Does a Carburetor have a TPS sensor?

I have a carberator, does it have a TPS sensor? I don't think it has an IAC valve. I looked in shop manual, didn't see it there.

Did you check your idle adjustment on your choke?

Only once has my 2004 FI done that. It was a dose of bad fuel. The idle is set at around 1000 and is pretty sensitive to incorrect things. The iac valve is pretty rugged except for someone spraying a lot of cleaner up into it. Washes crud up past oring in servo motor. If the tank filter gets stopped up, that will kill the idle most of the times but unless you dump a lot of gas from dirty containers, the filter will last forever.
