Harley Hammock Seat - WTF?

It is the highest sitting seat I have, the other two OEM reworked by MCC, and a Danny Gray Big Solo. It is the most comfortable of the three. I am 6'0" and have no issues.

I struggled a couple times with fitment as well, but it will work. The trick seems to be to make sure the rear of the seat is down while sliding the "blade" into its holder. Be sure to cover the screw tab on the back of the seat with your hand so as not to scratch anything or tear your upholstery. It's even trickier with a PCV under the seat. You have to have everything tucked away tight or the PCV connectors will keep the blade from sliding in.

The Hammock was the worst seat I ever tried. I bought it for a 9 day tour. For the first couple of days it was good but kept getting progressively worse. By day 4 I felt like I was sitting in hole that planted me straight onto the seat pan. I have never been so uncomfortable on a motorcycle. It was so bad that on day 6 I stopped at a Harley dealer and bought a Sundowner in the middle of the tour. I sure hope you have better luck with yours.
