Question Road King Question

So there was a trade in at my work (a Chevrolet Dealership)

A 2002 Road King Classic.

I "think" they gave him $9500 (what he owed on it) that might be tad high.

It has 36K miles. Mustang seat, Samson rolled thunder mufflers.
It has an aftermarket fairing (Dragonfly - maybe - I don't know those)
It has an aftermarket frt wheel (21" but it's wide - flamed - kinda goofy looking) Not into 21's on a "Big bike". It has the stock rear spoke wheel. It has hard bags w/those leather covers on the lids.
Black. Overall good cond. Other add ons , Kuryakin chrome frame covers, the chrome cover btwn eng/trans, a few other added things.
Oh and it's FI. Don't know about any perf mods, it did sound pretty good.

Felt kinda bad for the guy. Traded it for a Malibu (SNIP-SNIP)

I don't know yet what they will ask for it. I'd get a better deal (maybe) being an employee.

Think it's worth high 10's, low 11's? Allot of the aftermarket stuff would wind up on ebay (all those frame covers & crap) I kind of liked the fairing (Stereo ROCKS in it!!!)

Thoughts? Keep the Heritage & leave us alone?
(Ha ha)

Thanks

I would approach the deal from the standpoint that "I'm not payin' for any of that add-on stuff". IMHO that needs to be eaten by the former owner (unless you think it's worth something). Go to NADA or Kelley Blue Book to get an idea of what a 2002 Road King Classic is worth. If you don't like the 21" wheel, find out what it would cost to put a stock 16" laced wheel back it and deduct that from the price that you'd otherwise pay.
