Default A little help here .....

Spent some quality time washing road grime off my 2009 Ultra and found this part on my driveway in the area of my left footboard and jiffy stand. Anybody got an idea where it goes? Rubber, molded to fit over something round and has a channel that fits over a flat piece. Any help would be appreciated.

Fits the front mounting nut on the fuel tank. There is one on the left side and one on the right side.

Uh huh. Better to lose it in the driveway than the highway.

Mine never went back on after the first time I took the tank off... They're are stored with all the other original parts I've removed.

A little clear silicone sealant keeps them from coming off. Put a dab on the bolt, replace the cover and let dry. Easy to get them off if you want to, but does not fall off on the road.
