I've added some strips of white reflective "conspicuity" tape to my wife's 3/4 helmet. It isn't very obvious on the white helmet until light reflects off the tape. It works very similar to the ghost graphics put on some law enforcement vehicles. Separately, I've also added some custom reflective decals from Purple Iron to my bike and have been very impressed with his work.
