I bought the Angled Highway Peg Mounting Kit today for use on my Ultra Classic and it has so many adjustment options that I can't figure out what's going to work best. I've tried a handful of options, but could really benefit with some pictures of how your setup looks. Can somebody post some pics?
there's 2 of them, the long angled and the short angled. which one do you have?
i have short legs, so i use the long angled. even then i still cannot reach the highway pegs with my whole foot, so i have them set so that i can put my heels on the footboards and toes on the highway pegs. makes them feel like forward controls....
I'm 5'7 and have mine set up pretty much the same way as the picture shown by the first poster. I'm considering installing another set a little higher up for another position. As he mentioned I also put my heels on the floorboards and toes on the highway pegs.I have found this to be very comfortable but if I'm riding a long way I just need to be able to move around a little.
You have just got to keep playing with them until you are happy with em'. Took me weeks to get them right on mine. I found that I put them way to high to begin with.
When I got mine from the dealer...they are the 360 degree ones.
Must be the short ones.
Worked GREAT with the crappy old stock seat.....custom LePera seat pushed me back a few inches, and now they work, but it's a FULL stretch of my long legs. :s
you're putting on higway pegs!!!!! Just put them on & take a few test rides & not around the block. Put a few miles on. I also had to move mine until I found the sweet spot. If you don't like they way they feel then move them!!!

I do the exact same thing. I'm 5'9" with a 30"inseam.
