Im using Amsoil Synthetic 60wt Motorcycle oil in my trike with 117" engine. I see a 10 degree reduction in the oil temps during the summer. I do use a oil cooler as well.
The Redline 20/60 is perfect for hot areas. I have ridden my bike from San Diego to Vegas in the hot weather running it with great results. It's great oil.
20/50 is a good all around oil for most places but in colder climates you might wanna use 10/40 during the winter (if you're not snowed in) and in warmer climates you should probably use straight 50 or 60 weight during the summer.
