Chris
i dont wana cut the cat out id rather replace the head pipe alltogather
the 09 was a stock 96 with stock cams..i think a lot is in the person you have doing the tuning..
Do not cut the cat, cause when you trade dealer will deduct money. If your state goes to epa check you will be screwed.I have Fuel Moto and love it $450.
+1 on the Fuel Moto. A 2 into 1 into 2 is supposed (by thier dyno numbers) give more power than 2 into 1 which used to be the top performer. I know that the tuned Jackpot headpipe sounds better on my 103 than my 08 96 Ultra did with everything else being the same (A/C, Mufflers). I really noticed it come to life after I made the upgrades but my mileage sucks.
FullSac uses the factory heat shields as well, and they fit perfectly. I went with the FullSac because it comes ceramic coated black and that fits my bike's color preference.
109 Torque from a stock 96 without cams? Just a slip ons, TTS, and a tune? I have a GREAT tuner and I got 113 TQ with a full 103 kit! I'm just saying, you may be hard pressed to match that performance in a 2011 using like products.
