Default Radio Help

I have a 09 Road Glide with a Sony Marine radio, biketronics retro kit 1005 and a hog tunes amp. Lately my radio has been shutting down by itself and at the push of my controls it will come back on again. Called Biketronics and was told that I could possibly have a ground issue. Ran new ground wire from back of the radio directly to battery and still have same issue. Any advice is appreciated.

Radio should ground fine through the original radio harness ground. However, amp should be grounded to the frame.

Shouldn't use the battery as a ground.
