BUT! It contains loads of sillicone, warn your painter if you've got paintwork planned.
I've used it for years and it's great. However I am having some pinstripes painted on in a few weeks. Any advice on what to do? Just wash the bike good with Meguiar's?

I've tried pledge, but I've found that the "greasy" residue is harder to remove completely than the synthetic Meguiar's wax I've been using. Dunno, I suppose Pledge is better at removing grime and bugs that are really stuck on, though.

I have a Vivid Black UC. Wax a couple of times a year but use Pledge a couple of times a week. Works as well as Maguiars Detailer, Plexus or any or any other spray that I've tried.

I don't understand this. I just give it a light spray - heavier if really dusty. Use one microfibre cloth to wipe it off the excess and then another dry microfibre cloth to buff it. No hard rubbing at all to get it off. Sparkles. No residue or streaks. Couldn't be easier to use.

The few times I've used it, it comes off really easy, but the next day I'll notice a few "wet marks" where there is a bit of residue. Annoying on a highly shiny bike. Maybe I've just used a bit too much or an off brand that isn't as good...

I bought the pledge wipes for my bike. They clean it alright. But what do I use to wipe of the oily coating?

This stuff works good but attracts dust like a champ. Gotta wipe it every day now...

After alot of reading I tried Pledge today for the first time today.

Have a dark green 98 RK classic- used one to apply and 1 to wipe and buff clean- bike came out great.

Now I'm waiting to see about the dust factor.

I use it to get rid of bugs and to give it a good shine. Gets rid of swirl marks and hides minor scratches. Two thumbs up. In between I use a California duster to get rid of dust that settles on it.

My Bike seems to collect less dust after polishing with Pledge. For any dust that collects on My Bike I use swiffers, that work great, but pisses the wife off when I use Her supply.

Yeah. I thought it had some sort of anti-static properties. Isn't the fact that it's supposed to repel dust what made it so popular for furniture? I still get dust on the bike but don't know if it is any more or less than I would have without it. This time of year with the trees being sexually active, I don't think there's anything that will keep the pollen off.
