No, you are correct, I just didn't make myself clear enough. The switch is in the normal location on the left side with the horn & radio control.

OK, I have this figured out now with nothing like some real time detective work to trace down the issues. After checking the wires out of the switch which had good current, I started opening the loom & discovered the PO must have wired in a "Diamond Star" headlight modulator that went bad. I had 12V+ to it for the low beam but nothing on the output side. I clipped the wires and reconnected everything and should be go to go as soon as I get everything else replaced.

The side braces look good, are there any other issues should look for while I have the fairing open?
