Any bikes it shows with Sedona Orange or a combination of Sedona Orange with Vivid Black or Birch White will NOT be a part of the 2012 lineup. It seems HD is unable to acquire the pigment due to the disaster in Japan. This came from a salesman at a dealer I visited yesterday. Don't know if they will simply drop the colors or replace them with other combinations.
I saw the 2012 color chart two weeks ago, and it was available. Maybe something changed since then, but it was on the chart.
It was originally going to be continued for a second year, but H-D notified dealers to either remove any of the Sedona Orange color combos from the color swatch book entirely or block them out as "UNAVAILABLE". My dealer stuck Post-It notes over them.
H-D had also been receiving complaints from the body shops that the color was extremely hard to match. Many dealerships were electing to repaint entire bikes simply because they could not match the color properly.
Well if it's any counsolaton, I understand that they are coming out w/a cool white, which is my favorite color next to silver. Both of which are easy colors to keep looking clean., more so than the darker colors.
