I ended up going with the Cobra PowrPro (Fi2000 PowrPro: Continuously Variable Tuning (CVT)), it recalibrates automatically many times per second to find the best power in any condition. No computer or dyno need for this. I installed the PowrPro first with stock exhaust and intake and it made a big difference. Then I changed the exhaust and air cleaner and now it is even better. Went with Freedom Performance Amendment pipes and RSD air. CobraUSA | Fuel Management
I recently learned about another high end tuner from Zippers called ThunderMax, similar to Cobra PowrPro but pretty expensive. Worth looking into IMHO. Product List

ThebCobra is not a "high end tuner" it is a "Fuel Enriching Type Devicel or Fueler" similar to the old HD device and the DFO or the Power Pak. All they do is add or remove fuel as needed to improve performance but make no timing changes or allow any idle, redline or many other adjustments. They often work well for basic stage 1 mods but still leave power behind compared to a true tuner that adjusts both the timing and fuel as well as front and rear cyl etc.
The Thunder Max is an excellent device, as well as SE Pro Tuner, TTS , Directlink and Power Vision. The pC V for a piggy back device is also a more complete tuner than the fueled type devices sice it makes timing changes as well.
I am on the fence also. I have a 2002 Ultra with 'claimed' work done. It needs tuned, and this Cobra Unit would be perfect, but it sounds like it only works well about half the time. Well, I can tell you right now what half of the time I would be on if I bought one, THE WRONG HALF. My wrench has a dyno and, of course, believes I will be dissatisfied with the Cobra unit. I am reluctant to pop for the $700.00 dyno tune...
Got my power pro back from cobra. Took a month but was worth the wait. Bike runs perfect now, idles nice, pulls hard and no missing or backfiring at all. Much better than the first time it was installed
