When you get it on be sure to mate the inner and outer fairings back where the storage compartments are. This needs to be done before you start installing screws. You also need to make sure the holes for your signals and the mounts line up. If not you will need to loosen the inside mounting bolts and move the whole thing up or down.
Your wiring should be wire tied below the hooks where the outer fairing attaches.

all fugly owners call them fuglies or at least those of us with a sense of humor along with the ability to R&R the fairing

Have been playing with it off and on. Got it on and there is a bit of a gap at the top of the fairing where inner and outer meet. It looks like the rubber trim is preventing the two fairings from meeting cleanly. I will try to loosen signal lights and all the hardware and see if that helps. Just have to get this on properly and then I am set to get her on the road. Now we need some decent riding weather. You guys down south have no idea how good you've got it.
Cheers.

I had the outer fairing off last weekend, everything seemed to go back together just fine but now there is a gap between the inner and outer fairing by the glove box on both sides. I took it off and put it back on again and same thing, what am I doing wrong?

there are some interlocking fins in that area, make sure you have them lined up properly.
