at least your making the commitment and unlike a women, somtimes a Harly just takes time.
I always buy American whenever possible, so keeping with Harley is only right! I've been hearing about alot of problems latey with the 2011 Harleys. I know problems can happen with any year bike but it just seems like this year of bikes has more problems then all the rest. After reading about some of these problems here on the forum and talking to the people around me. A retired fella from where i work just bought a 2011 ultra classic a few months back and the thing has went to limp home mode 3 times. He only has 800 miles on it. I myself am a working man, belong to a union, and can only think back to last summer when the moco stripped there workers of alot of benefits. This is just my theory, but could it be that the quality has gone down hill at the plant? You can only take away so much from a working person till they just dont give a crap about what they do. Once again, this is just my theory, and i'm not meaning to turn this into a political thread. It just seems way to strange to have two 2011 Street glides and have issues with quality on both of them.

You only lost $500.00 in trade-in value!! You should be Dancing!!
Trust me, i was a happy **** when they told me the deal. But damn, i just want a bike that wont at least have something go wrong with it until at least 1100 miles anyways.

If it can be proven, fire them.... eventually you'll drive the business out of business and how will that work for them

On the other side of the fence, how would it have worked for the moco if they would have moved to Mexico? Polaris industries, another supposed american made company, moved there utv manufacturing to mexico. I for one will never buy another polaris machine of any kind. And they are from the state i live in. Funny how the workers lost benefits, while the price of bikes never went down. Where's the money going? hmmm, rich just keep gettin richer.
Sorry to hear about all your troubles powerman...Makes me glad I still have my 05 with all the problems I've been hearing about on the newer models. Good luck I hope everything works out for you.
Sorry about all your problems with the new bike. My old 95 WG has got a decent inner primary seal leak too. It only leaks when I'm riding. How much should it cost to replace? Considering labor and all? Thanks for any replies.
