i take fexofinadine prescription, that works till it gets really bad then i go in and get the steroids packet you start with like 5 or 7 the first day then one less the next and one less following days till gone, that does the trick for me, after the packet i'm good. probably going in tomorrow for the packet it's that time.
I die without the shot from the doc. Sometimes, I even need to boost it by using Zaditor allergy eye drops. They are fantastic and not at all expensive. Bob
I take my allegra which usually doesn't do much but I find the full face helmet really cuts down on all the wind rushing against my eye's and face so I do find the full face is my "best" options to cut down on my allergies when I ride. When I ride without my full face I want to itch my eye out of my head and like you, the nose and sneezes kill me.
I have a prescription for Nasonex, and take Allegra.
Let me tell you, prior to Allegra being released to over the counter I suffered just like you are. I was forced to take stuff that just took the edge off, but made me feel extremely fatigued.
I used to take Allegra via prescription, and when Clairiton and Zyrtec were sold over the counter, my insurance company would no longer cover it. I feel like a new person since I started taking it again, I truly feel like I got my life back, that is how good this stuff works for me.
Wishing you good luck on finding what works for you.
I use Veramist and a cup holder with a bottle of water. My main problem is my sinuses and post-nasal drip, so I mainly cough, not sneeze, which doesn't interfere with driving. So the bottle of water helps me get past the coughs while riding. Eye drops if the pollen is really bad and makes my eyes feel dry or itchy.
24 hour Clairiton-D (or generic) works wonders for me this time of year, the only trouble is they will not sell more than one 10 pack at a time because of the fricken meth-heads!
Your making my allergies act up just by reading this thread ha. I usually just take some allergy medicine which I switch up brands from time to time since seams like my body gets use to it & ride with a bandana over my nose & mouth. F**K ALLERGIES!!
