I LIKE the sound of that. One less electronic POS to go south.

You have to remove the ECM because you can't drive the ignition without all the EFI bits... Thanks to the design of the twinkie motor you're stuck with electronics.

I had my local shop do mine at the beginning of May 2011... It runs better than ever.. If I had a model with a Delphi EFI, I would have kept it EFI.. I was having issues with the old MM EFI on my 2001 Roadking...

I have an 07 softail that is efi and a 2000 Road King that has a 45mm Mikuni with a 103 kit installed and I will never buy another EFI bike again. The carb is just so much more fun, it's not a gas hog at all and it sounds awesome. The heat is not an issue either like the 07 has. Please buy my Softail somebody....

http://www.amm.haan.de/Carb/carb.htm

obviously you don't have to use their ignition. Me, I'm partial to DTT.

Here're some kits already put together (PHEW on the price!)

http://store.4x4tuff.com/hs26.html << for Magnetti EFI / TC

http://store.4x4tuff.com/hs25.html << Magnetti EFI / Evo

http://store.4x4tuff.com/hs27.html << Delphi / TC

dunno...maybe someone could coax them into providing just the instructions?
