Default Time to replace the Fatcat??

I have had a Fatcat exhaust system on my last two Street Glides. I have had a Thunderheader on an 03 Fatboy. I currently have a HQ 107 ST setup and I'm running a standard baffle Fatcat. The same as I had on my 95" 06 Street Glide. I do have a quiet baffle in my garage for my 08 107" that I'm riding now, but was never crazy about the sound of it. Bottom line I'm a bit bored after almost 6 year of Fatcats, (although I really like the pipe), and am going to try another 2-1 pipe of some configuration. Any reccomendations for performance and sound? My Fatcat is pretty loud, which typically doesn't bother me but on occasion, it can be annoying. I'd like a crisp note but one with a little mellower sound. I'm not interested in putting the quite baffle back on it. Anyone?

When I installed my FatCat with the quite baffle I had a nasty little dip/flat spot on my dyno runs. I called FatCat and asked about different baffles. The quite and standard are the same baffle I was told except for the ring/washer looking thing on front of the baffle on the quite one. We removed the baffle and removed that ring device and ran a few more runs. The torqe dip/ flat spot was gone and the torqe line was straight as a arrow from 2400rpm all the way across. Sounds a mix between the two baffles with a little bit of a crackle on de-throttle. I like it allot...

I really, really, REALLY like my Bassani Road Rage 2:1 for the sound and the performance. Since you have a 107 you could even try the B-2 Road Rage, which is supposed to flow better than the original Road Rage. I also love the sound and performance of the Thunderheaders, although I don't like the way the pipe looks. They have since come out with a newer design that looks very similar to the Fat Cat but with a Thunderheader sound...you could go that route.

Really like that suggestion because I LOVE the Thunderheader sound. Gonna have to go find a sound clip and pic of the new one.

Also the Rinehart 2 into 1. If it were me and I ever got rid of my fatcat I'd probably do the Road Rage.

Here's a you tube link for the Road Rage B-2. The look and sound is fantastic.
