True-Track for 2009-2011
steering head bearings are in spec, one of the first things i checked!
Seems everyone here that has them swears by them.
I converted to my '09 FLTR, after a test ride. The new chassis was so far ahead of my '92 FLHS, that I just had to have it! After about 15K miles, I startred to feel that old familiar wobble of my Evo bagger. Not nearly as bad mind you, but it was there. At the time I was working in Fairbanks, and had a very regular 120 mile ride I would do almost every evening, for several weeks, and this is where I felt the wobble show itself. It had numerous 70+ MPH sweepers, and I know it like the back of my hand. I ordered a True Track, installed it after work, and took it for a test ride. Felt a difference, in a good way, immediately. For the next week, I rode that same 120 mile stretch, and no question in my mind, it brought the bike back to it's old self again.
You guys who think the 09+ chassis is the panacea for touring bikes can fantasize all you want. The bottom line is, as long as there are rubber mounts, there is going to be a certain amount of wobble/slop. If you don't push the bike, you may not ever know it exists, but it is there. You can't have a friggin rubber mounted swing arm, without a certain amount of handling compromise. If you want to live on Fantasy Island......enjoy your stay!

you say that like its a bad thing...back in the day I used to love that show...pretty big haired girls, a pet midget, great weather, great looking pimp outfits....whats not to like???
I installed a True-Trac shortly thereafter and haven't had a wobble of that magnitude since.
