These threads are always fun to read. I have one on my 06. Does it help, yep I think so. Can I prove it to anyone else, nope....If you don't think you need one don't get one.

My 09 would wobble and it was the neck bearings out of spec. re-adjusted and no more wobble.

Wouldn't one benefit more by installing some Ohlins Shocks.
Seems everyone here that has them swears by them.

Have em and love em. Granted i only have about 300 miles on them so they aren't fully adjusted correctly, but i still got the wobble, wasn't expecting them to cure the wobble either though

I did both in separate stages. The "wobble" has, in my opinion, nothing to do with what the TT or Glide Pro are targeting. As some have stated loose neck bearings, bad/underinflated tires and or misaligned engine/trans/swingarm have more to do with wobble, in my opinion. When you overload the rear swingarm/trans/engine area the rear wheel in a turn it gets out of line with the intended path of the front tire in that turn and it feels more like the rear end is trying to get out from under you so to speak, it doesn't wobble on me. Having better shocks will reduce unintended rear wheel up and down movement which may have some effect on this but it didn't have any real effect on it in my case. The TT did reduce my rear end side movement to the point that either it doesn't happen or it is so minute that I don't have an issue with it if/when it happens. Some may say I have no idea what I am talking about, they may have a point, lol!

Agree 100%. Folks who dismiss the wobble on 09+ bikes can believe it all they they want, just depends on how hard you push your bike.

I converted to my '09 FLTR, after a test ride. The new chassis was so far ahead of my '92 FLHS, that I just had to have it! After about 15K miles, I startred to feel that old familiar wobble of my Evo bagger. Not nearly as bad mind you, but it was there. At the time I was working in Fairbanks, and had a very regular 120 mile ride I would do almost every evening, for several weeks, and this is where I felt the wobble show itself. It had numerous 70+ MPH sweepers, and I know it like the back of my hand. I ordered a True Track, installed it after work, and took it for a test ride. Felt a difference, in a good way, immediately. For the next week, I rode that same 120 mile stretch, and no question in my mind, it brought the bike back to it's old self again.

You guys who think the 09+ chassis is the panacea for touring bikes can fantasize all you want. The bottom line is, as long as there are rubber mounts, there is going to be a certain amount of wobble/slop. If you don't push the bike, you may not ever know it exists, but it is there. You can't have a friggin rubber mounted swing arm, without a certain amount of handling compromise. If you want to live on Fantasy Island......enjoy your stay!

Jeff

I have a '06 (old frame) and experienced a wobble while traversing a bridge when the bike was fairly new. I was only doing about 65mph, got hit with a crosswind and just like that it started, almost crapped myself. The wobble does exist!
I installed a True-Trac shortly thereafter and haven't had a wobble of that magnitude since.
