I love my 09 Street Glide but never satisfy with the stone aged suspensions. After extensive reading on this forum for the past couple weeks, finally placed orders with Howard from Motorcycle Metal for #2-3 Ohlins rear shocks, and Intiminators from Ricor for the fronts. Looking forward to have them installed and will report back with results.
Big thanks for all the great information provided on this forum about suspension upgrades.
Hi 05Train,
My decision to install Intimators were based on your positive reviews of them. I thought you had Ricor shocks instead Ohlins, if I remeber correctly from your previous post?
Was it necessary to remove forks from trees to install the Intiminators? I'm hoping that a set of instructions will come with them but just want to metally prepare myself in advace. Thanks.

Yes, you need to remove the forks from the trees.
I replaced my Ricor rear shocks with Ohlins #3-4 shocks about a month ago. The Ricors were very good to me and I'd recommend them to anyone. The Ohlins are better.
