anyone add anything to the front fender. would like to add some chrome to the front fender, just looks to bland for me. if anyone added anything let me know or post a photo.
One of the Street Glide's best assets is the lack of any kind of trim on the fenders. If you really feel the need to have some chrome up there, may I suggest picking up a used Road King Classic or EG Classic fender with the trim you like.....and selling your clean fender to someone who is desperately wanting one? Not to come off like an elitist *****, just making a suggestion.
I have an 07 Standard and I added the H-D front bumper to mine so now it looks like the Classic or Ultra front fender, but without any name plate or decal on the side. I like it much better that way. The plain front fenders, although loved by many, have no appeal for me. Also, you will most likely get rock chips on the tip of the bare fender. Thats what the chrome trim was originally put on for, to help prevent those inevitable chips.
The change is exactly what I did. I like the chrome and light on the tip. I bought a Vivid Black fender from a 1999 EG off eBay. I painted it to my liking and put the chrome and light in place. Really dressed up the front. Now for the chrome front legs.....
