Hi, I have been searching for a luggage rack and passenger back rest for my 1989 electra glide sport flhs for over a year with no success. Maybe some one out there can help. Harley davidson has discontinued this part but they were able to find the part number in an old 1989 partsbook. The part # is 53405-87B the catilog description is HD HDM Chrome 4 -channel.
If anyone can guide me to where I can buy this part new or used, it would be fantastic. Please help. Thanks.

Hi Guys; New to the forum from Florida. I have a 1988 FLHS and have been looking for that same part. Several dealers still have the pad (PN 52548-87B) but none have the rack (PN 53405-87B). If any one out there has that 4 channel luggage rack with the support for the backrest pad AND would like to sell it. Please let me know, I would love to buy it. Sad thing is I used to have it, but went solo for 15 years and now would like to ride a passenger again. Hopefully someone out there has this part. I'll buy the rack with or without the pad. I have seen lots of folks using it as a short sissy bar/hand grab rail without the pad. Thanks folks.
