Badglide, I put 16" carlini's on my 2011 FLHRC (abs) last month. I got everything but the bars from dr v twin: Sterling chromite magnum shielding brake lines & clutch cable, Namz wire extensions, Barnett throttle by wire extension.
Install went pretty well. However a few lessons learned if I were to do it again. Skip the throttle
wire extension, you can't fit the
damn green connecter inside
the bars with all the wires anyway. Just cut the wires and
extend with heatshrink butt
splices. Wire extensions from
Namz not really needed, all the
splices and shrink tube end up
in the same place and make it
difficult to pull the wires.
Remove the pins from the molex
connectors, staggering the
splices, cut the pin ends off the
wires, then extend wires splicing
with heat shrink butt splices.
Wrap it all with electric tape to
protect it while pulling. I
pulled the wires with a fish tape
and a Klein wire mesh pulling
grip. Once the wires are
through the bars, reinstall the pins back into the molex
connectors. I bled the brakes
with a mighty , filling and pumping the master cylinder as needed. Got about 2000 miles
on it since I installed with no
issues.

There is no substitute, when servicing a bike, to reading the factory service manual! What does that say about bleeding the system, such as when replacing a brake line?!

I would read the service manual but I don't have one and the one and only local dealership is out of them. I was gonna do the bar swap this weekend.

The service manual says I have to remove the front master cylinder to change the front brake lever....... Sometimes the manual takes the long way around.....

But in this case of bleeding ABS brakes you need the digital tech to activate the abs pump to get all the air out of the system. You also would need the digital tech to do a complete fluid exchange.
