I made a heat shield for that switch on my 12 streeglide. There is a bolt just down and to the left i mounted it to. I took a piece of 3/16 aluminum and put a safety edge on the top, drilled a hole so it's in front of the switch. I wished i would have kept it after the bike was gone.
