Anyone,
I had a thread about my O2 sensor stripped. Well I took the exhaust off and yeap.....It is stripped on the bung.....Now to my concern. I have a 2009 Road King and the manual. I noticed when I took the flange bolts off, they were so loose, I could almost unscrew them without a ratchet....I never noticed an exhaust leak and this was troublesome.....I read the manual and it calls for 100 to 120 lbs torque on install. So I take it the bolts got loosened during normal wear and tear? I only have 12,000 miles but bought it a couple months ago.
One more thing. Anything special to be concerned about when re-installing exhaust system? I am getting the gaskets tomorrow and the flange looks good so all I need is the gaskets correct?
The parts guys at my local dealer recommended the Screamin Eagle gaskets to me, I haven't installed them yet though. Maybe Dawg will see this and chime in.
