I have 35k on my 09 Ultra Classic. Recently I have been getting a bit of a kick back when I start the engine. Normally, it happens after I have been riding a while and the engine is hot\running temp. I have been told it could be a weak battery however, I keep mine hooked up to a battery tender all the time. Any thoughts on the case or is it normal now and then.

 

Normal, mine does that once in awhile.

 

Sounds like the compensator is going out. Upgrade to an SE compensator.

u could start with a new battery but.... youll probably end up with the se comp.
