Steeringhead grease dripping

Hi, recently noticed what looked like an oil leak from the left fork leg on my 'of RK classic. The dealer tells me it is the steering head bearing grease melting and dripping and it is common with HD's. I am told the engine heat reahes the steering head and melts the grease. I am finding this hard to believe as i would expect high temp grease to be used. has anyone seen this before?

Yup, it does drip on some depending on the grease that you use. I service my own bike and my grease doesn't drip

My wifes 06 Heritage did the same thing. Took it to the dealer & they said it is normal. I wiped it off & has been fine ever since. Also my neighbor just got an 06 Deluxe it's doing the same thing. They say MoCo just over loads with grease.
